
Nusa Penida/Lembongan Dive Site

Big island about 20 Km north-east of Bali, the north coastal reef is about 7 Km long, slopes, canyons and walls. |

Access: |
25 minutes by speed boat from Padang Bai to the 10 different dive sites on the north coast Penidas and Lembongan. |

Coral: |
Very good variety and number of hard and soft corals, most spots totally undamaged. |
|
Fish: |
Best variety of tropical reef fish in Bali, possible to see most of south east Asia's marine species in only one dive, very often seeing big pelagic species such as giant tuna, manta ray, oceanic sun fish and sharks (thresher shark). |

Current: |
Mild, moderate, strong and very strong depending on the moon (mostly drift dives). |

Visibility: |
25m to 50m, best viz in Bali! Stable even in rainy season. |

Note: |
On the south coast at Manta Point we almost always get to see Manta's. The canyon between Penida and Lembongan has unpredictable currents but is possible to dive on ocasions. |
